The fish (1lb under eleven stone and nearly eight feet in length) was caught on the Spanish river Ebro near Tortosa using a live 2lb mullett live bait suspended at 8 feet in 19 feet of water.
It took nearly an hour and a half to land and smashes my pb by nearly 40 lbs.
It was caught with the help of millenium fishing (http://www.catfishing.co.uk) who in seven years of guiding say this is the biggest fish they have witnessed.
Whilst it is not quite a record it still pulled my string. |

Silure of 2,44m taken by Youri in the Saone river on carrasin.
This could be the largest fish ever taken in this river.
This record was not weighed but measured in front of ten persons (namely Xavier Vella and Joel Parcel).
A great cheer with Youri who shows that the Saone has beautiful remainders in term of "monsters".
As each year on July 14 (national day), a block falls...
The past year, Mr Vella Father took a 2,30m... the July 14th!
